We are Scientists - Forces and magnets:
- compare how things move on different surfaces;
- notice that some forces need contact between two objects;
- observe how magnets attract or repel each other and attract some materials and not others;
- compare and group together a variety of everyday materials on the basis of whether they are
   attracted to a magnet, and identify some magnetic materials;
- describe magnets as having two poles;
- predict whether two magnets will attract or repel each other, depending on which poles are
   facing.
 
We are Engineers:
Design: 
- use research and develop design criteria, generate, develop, model and communicate their ideas.
Make:
- select from and use a wider range of tools and equipment;
- select from and use a wider range of materials and components.

   ‘when’, ‘if’, ‘because’ and ‘although’
- organising paragraphs around a theme
- proofreading for spelling, punctuation and flow

Fractions:
- unit and non-unit fractions of a number of objects
- unit and non-unit fractions of an amount
- adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator
Roman numerals:
- read numbers up to XII (12)
Time:
- seconds, minutes, hours
- days, weeks, months
- tell the time to one minute intervals
- calculating durations of events
- read analogue and digital clocks
- read digital time ‘to’ and ‘past’
